Mission Statement

The greatest missionary to ever live was Jesus Christ.  He lovingly identified with people, and brought the incredible good news of God’s grace and truth to all he met.  Here at Hixson, we desire to emulate Him by taking the grace and truth of God to those who do not know Christ as their Savior. 

We desire to encourage, equip, and empower Hixson members to participate in God’s mission of blessing all nations and all peoples, whether in this country or abroad.

Areas Key to Mission Program Success

• Prayer – The Missions Program at Hixson is built on a foundation of prayer.  The program encourages all members to pray that the program will be successful in revealing God’s glory.

• Outreach – The Missions Program provides members an opportunity to participate in an evangelistic ministry.  This is accomplished through short and long term local programs (community outreach) and short term international mission activities.

• Education – The Mission Program seeks to prepare local Christians to respond to God’s call to share Christ locally and globally.

• Support and Encouragement – The Mission Program provides support and encouragement to a wide range of organized mission programs.  It also seeks to encourage member participation in mission activities.
