Thoughts On Family Ministry

The Reality of our ministry!

Our ministry can only be as helpful as the honesty we bring to it.  The truth is, our families are full of people, and people have problems.  Until we are honest about where we are, our effectiveness is limited.

With that in mind, and knowing that prevention is what we are about, we also understand that there will always be times when our families experience problems.  In those times, we want to be a ministry that will attempt to assist these families or refer them to professionals who can help.

Who are we trying to help?

Family ministry involves the entire church family.  We want to pull together all possible resources to help better equip singles, couples, parents, single parents, stepparents, grandparents, stepfamilies and any other family dynamic we may encounter.

How are we trying to help?

We work very closely with our Men's Ministry and Women’s Ministry The success of each of these ministries is significant in the success of the others.

We offer quarterly classes in our adult education programs on Wednesday evenings.  Our men’s and women’s ministries offer multiple opportunities for additional classes during the week.  We offer pre-marriage education classes and counseling.  We offer a yearly singles retreat, men’s and women’s retreats, as well as family retreats and couple retreats.  We also provide specialty seminars on topics such as finances, grief and loss, addictions and parenting.
